Vietnam Veterans

I'm not a Vietnam vet but I was there 2 yrs ago on a "dig" mission (under Joint Task Force-Full Accounting) looking for our fallen comrades during the conflict.  I was at northern Nam, northeast of Ha Noi. Our dig team dug up a F4-B crash site and found all kinds of artifacts, including two pieces of bones.  The plane went down in the middle of a rice field 32 yrs ago.  It had a 2-man crew.  This mission was an experience I'll never forget.  I wanted to go back and do more missions but situations beyond my control didn't allow me to.  But given another opportunity, I'll do it again without a doubt.  And I salute all vets from all walks of life from all conflicts.  God Bless You/Us all, and God Bless America.

My husband was in Vietnam, but he won't talk about it - maybe I can get him to say something!  All he will say is "the budweiser beer" that was there "was bad!"

I preferred getting lost in bottles of Mateus Rosé and Ritz crackers that came in a can. I got "lost" pretty regularly.
About the husband who won't talk, there are many people who were there in one capacity or another, and for some the need to not talk is to not go back to the where and what.
I hope all of us who can't talk except to the few we let in, can get rid of our demons what ever they may be.
I still have mine.
